亙僉乕儚乕僪亜 British and North American literary traditions丂丂 Historical development of English Key works from major historical periods 亙撪梕偺梫栺亜 This is the first semester of a two semester sequential course designed to introduce the student to masterworks in English Language Literature. The role of these works in shaping Western Culture will be explored in detail. 亙妛廗栚昗亜 The student will be able to explain and appreciate key works from the Britishand North Americaliterary traditions The student will be able to outline the basic historical development of the English language. The student will be able to identify and summarize key literary works from each of the major historical periods. |
