Students will learn step by step procedures to prepare for an oral presentation. Focus will be to reduce anxiety and promote confidence by properly organizing and guiding a longer presentation. Through presentations the students will bridge the gap between language study and language use, as well as develop the necessary skills to organize their ideas before presenting them.

Students will be able to Organize their ideas from a Macro Organization (purpose, objective, outline, introduction and conclusion ) to a Micro Organization (textual coherence and connections from one part to another).
Students will be able to present themselves in a more confident manner
Students will be able to broaden their understanding and use of new expressions in English
Students will be able to develop interest and understanding of different cultures
Students will be able to use power point for their presentations

1. Watching my presentation. Comments, discussion and conclusion
2. Planning my learning Design a simple and suitable plan for a research. Present.
3. Memory cards activity Design and use of memory cards. Memorizing longer sentences.
4. Discussion Select an appropriate informational text and generate provocative issue statement related to central ideas to discuss. Vocabulary for discussion.
5. Watching an ESL student presentation. Vocabulary -Comments-Questionnaire.
6. Elevator Pitch activity. Prepare a short speech about a subject of interest. 30 seconds to 2 minute.
7. Debate. Chose a theme for a Debate Research material for a debate. Study and use of vocabulary for a discussion/debate
8. Debate. Comments and conclusion
9. Theme for a presentation. Research.
10. Gathering Information and data to support statements of a presentation. Surveys and other tools.
11. Writing the outline and contents of a presentation. Submit report.
12. Correcting and memorizing the text for a presentation
13. Presentation Video documentation of presentations for analysis.
14. Watching my presentation. Making the necessary corrections and adjustments
15. Final Presentation

弨旛妛廗偺撪梕丒妛傇忋偱偺拲堄
Students will participate in class both in groups and individually. They are expected to research, write and memorize their presentation's content. We will be using a notebook to write vocabulary and write/draw ideas. Authenticity and originality are crucial. Listening to their classmates presentation is equally important. For this reason the use of cell phones is not allowed.

Students will be graded on their participation in class .Their performance on short speeches and the final presentations at the end of each semester. 30% (assigments for short presentations) 20% (grade report submission) 50% (final presentation)
