Students will learn step by step procedures to prepare for an oral presentation. Reduce anxiety and promote confidence by properly organizing and guiding a short presentation.
Through English presentations the students will bridge the gap between language study and language use, as well as develop the necessary skills to organize their ideas before presenting them.

Students will be able to: Present their ideas in a concise and simple manner.
Be aware of the importance of their body language and their capacity to use it effectively.
Organize their ideas from a Macro Organization (purpose, objective, outline, introduction and conclusion) to a Micro Organization (textual coherence and connections from one part to another).
Memorize their presentations.
Perform verbal and non verbal exercises to reduce anxiety, promote confidence and enjoy talking English.

Introduction: Setting goals. Research for a brief presentation. Learn tips for memorization.
Brief presentation on a subject of interest
Skills for improving a self introduction based on personal interests.
Recording an audio of self introduction based on personal interests.
Listen to the recording together. Have students realize their strong and weak points.
Project: Campus Life Survey.
Discuss and learn how to choose the methods to collect information with a survey.
Analyze and present Campus Life Survey results.
Research about International Welfare.
Write and a script including personal ideas and conclusions .
Develop power point for presentation.
Reading practice. Coach on deliverance of logic and strengthening voice.
Presentation on International Welfare.
Develop technical skills for recording presentations (preliminary prep for Fukushi Award).
Watching final presentations. Feed back .

弨旛妛廗偺撪梕丒妛傇忋偱偺拲堄
Students will participate in class both in groups and individually. They are expected to talk about themselves in a clear, interesting and simple manner. Authenticity is crucial.
Listening to their classmates presentation is equally important.
The use of cell phones is not allowed. We will visit the library, use personal computers or laptops for research.
